Success Stories from Teacher Morale
Collaborative Participants
Identify root causes of teacher morale
The collaborative helped North Adams Public Schools launch a quarterly morale diagnostic survey, allowing them to hear from 88% of their teachers. They gained a strong understanding of current morale threats thanks to customized data pinpointing teachers’ greatest concerns.
Prioritize greatest opportunities to improve morale
Participating in the collaborative helped Glencoe SD 35 prioritize their most critical threats to teacher morale. They launched an initiative targeting recognition and value, which teachers and staff raised as their highest priority. Further, it helped them shift their focus to staff morale from organizational wellness.
Engage teachers in co-designing solutions
A best practice shared by EAB empowered Freehold Township School District to build in dedicated time for teacher feedback. Through face-to-face focus groups, leadership created an open space for brainstorming realistic and effective solutions to ongoing problems.
